Safe & Controlled Play

Responsible Gambling
at JJPK

Gambling is entertainment — it should be enjoyable, affordable and within your control. JJPK provides practical tools and honest guidance to help every player stay in charge of their experience.

18+

Adults only — 18 years or older, or the higher minimum required by the operator or applicable licence jurisdiction. Pakistan has gambling restrictions under applicable law. It is each player's responsibility to determine whether participation is lawful in their jurisdiction. JJPK does not claim authorisation from any Pakistani authority. This page provides guidance, not legal advice.

Playing Smart, Playing Safe

At JJPK, responsible gambling is not a footnote in our terms — it is a core part of how we operate. We believe every player who chooses to engage with our platform deserves access to tools that keep their experience fun rather than harmful.

Gambling, by its nature, involves financial risk. Whether you are following Pakistan cricket at the PSL or testing your luck in a live casino, the golden rule stays the same: never bet more than you can comfortably afford to lose, and never chase a loss with a larger wager. JJPK gives you the controls you need to enforce these principles automatically, without relying on willpower alone.

Our responsible gambling tools are accessible directly from your account dashboard and take effect immediately upon activation. You do not need to contact support to set a deposit limit or activate a cooling-off period — these decisions belong to you.

The JJPK Responsible Play Pledge

JJPK pledges to provide clear, up-to-date responsible gambling tools on every account. We will never make it harder to set a limit than to place a bet. We will enforce self-exclusion requests promptly and without question. And we will treat every player who asks for help with dignity and confidentiality.

Responsible Gambling Tools

All six tools below are built into the JJPK platform and accessible from your account dashboard at any time — no forms to post, no waiting periods to activate protective limits.

Deposit Limits

Set a maximum deposit amount per day, week or month. Once your chosen limit is reached, further deposits are blocked for that period. Reductions take effect immediately; increases are subject to a mandatory reflection period before activation.

Loss Limits

Cap the maximum amount you can lose within a defined time period. If your net losses reach the limit you have set, your account is automatically paused for betting and gaming activity until the period resets.

Session Time Limits

Define the maximum length of a single gaming session. A notification is displayed when you approach your limit, and your session is paused once the time is reached — helping prevent hours from slipping by unnoticed during a long cricket match or live casino night.

Cooling-Off Period

Take a short break from gambling without fully closing your account. Cooling-off periods of 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days are available. During a cooling-off period, you cannot place bets or deposit funds. The period cannot be shortened once activated.

Self-Exclusion

If you feel your gambling is becoming a problem, you can self-exclude for a period of 6 months, 1 year, 5 years or permanently. Self-exclusion is enforced across the platform immediately upon request. Reinstatement requires a formal review process and cannot be expedited.

Reality Check Reminders

Enable pop-up reminders at intervals you choose — every 15, 30 or 60 minutes — that display your current session duration and net gaming result. These brief reality checks are designed to encourage a conscious, informed decision about whether to continue playing.

How to Activate Your Limits

Setting up responsible gambling controls on JJPK takes less than two minutes and requires no support interaction.

01

Log In to Your Account

Access your JJPK account using your registered credentials on any device — mobile, tablet or desktop.

02

Open Account Settings

Navigate to "Account Settings" from your profile menu. Select the "Responsible Gambling" tab within settings.

03

Choose Your Controls

Select the type of limit you want to set — deposit, loss, session time or cooling-off — and enter the value and period that suits your situation.

04

Confirm & Activate

Review your settings and confirm. Protective limits (reductions, cooling-off, self-exclusion) activate immediately. You will receive a confirmation notification.

Need help activating a limit? If you are having difficulty accessing your account settings or need urgent assistance with a self-exclusion request, contact JJPK support via the live chat on the platform or by emailing [email protected] (plain text — not a clickable link). Self-exclusion requests submitted via email will be acted upon as a priority.

Is Your Gambling Under Control?

Gambling problems do not always look like a dramatic crisis. They often begin quietly — a slightly longer session, a slightly larger deposit after a bad day, a growing feeling that you need to win back what you lost. The warning signs below are drawn from widely recognised problem gambling research.

If you recognise yourself in any of the statements on the right, please consider activating responsible gambling tools on your account or taking a break. Talking to someone — a trusted friend, a family member, or a professional support service — is a sign of strength, not weakness.

Remember: Gambling should never be a way to solve financial problems, pay off debt or earn a regular income. If you are using your gaming activity at JJPK as a financial strategy rather than entertainment, this is a warning sign worth taking seriously.
Self-Assessment Indicators

Do you find yourself thinking about gambling frequently, or planning your next session while still at work or in a social setting?

Have you ever deposited more than you originally planned in order to chase a loss or reach a certain win target?

Have you borrowed money, delayed paying bills, or reduced essential spending — food, rent, school fees — in order to fund gambling activity?

Have you hidden the amount you gamble, or lied to family members in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad or elsewhere about how much time or money you spend on gaming platforms?

Do you feel anxious, restless or irritable when you are unable to gamble, or when you try to reduce or stop?

Have you previously tried to cut back or stop gambling and found it more difficult than expected?

Has gambling negatively affected your relationships, work performance, study commitments or mental wellbeing?

If you answered yes to two or more: Consider setting strict limits on your JJPK account or requesting a self-exclusion. Speaking with a trusted person in your life is also a valuable first step.

Understanding Problem Gambling

Problem gambling affects people of all backgrounds. The more you understand it, the better equipped you are to recognise it early — in yourself or someone close to you.

Problem gambling refers to gambling behaviour that disrupts a person's life — financially, emotionally, professionally or socially — in a way that is difficult for them to control independently. It exists on a spectrum: at one end, a player may simply be spending slightly more than is comfortable; at the other end, compulsive gambling can create significant personal and financial harm. Early intervention makes a meaningful difference.

Yes. In a family member or friend, common signs include:
  • Unexplained financial pressure or requests to borrow money
  • Increasing secrecy about how time or money is spent
  • Mood swings linked to gambling outcomes — euphoria after a win, irritability after a loss
  • Withdrawing from family, friends or social obligations in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad or elsewhere
  • Neglecting work, study or household responsibilities
Raising the subject gently and without judgment is often more effective than a direct confrontation.

Paradoxically, yes — for some players. A significant early win can create an unrealistic expectation of typical gambling outcomes and encourage escalating stakes in pursuit of the same feeling. It is important to understand that games use certified RNG technology, and no past result has any bearing on the next outcome. Setting a win limit — where you stop after reaching a target — can be just as useful as a loss limit.

A cooling-off period is a short, temporary break — typically 24 hours to 30 days — during which your account remains registered but betting and deposits are suspended. It is appropriate when you feel you need a brief pause to reassess. A self-exclusion is a formal, longer-term measure — minimum six months — intended for players who recognise that gambling is causing real harm and need a stronger barrier. Self-exclusions cannot be shortened once activated and require a formal reinstatement process to lift. If in doubt, choose the more restrictive option.

Once a self-exclusion request is received — whether via the dashboard, live chat, or support email — JJPK will process it as a priority and block betting and deposit functionality on your account immediately. We will also make reasonable efforts to remove you from promotional communications during the exclusion period. Your account data is retained securely and the exclusion record is maintained for the duration of the exclusion and for any mandatory compliance period thereafter.

The Golden Rules of Safe Play

These simple principles, applied consistently, significantly reduce the risk of gambling becoming a problem.

Set a Budget Before You Start

Decide on a maximum amount you are comfortable losing — in PKR terms — before you ever make a deposit. Treat this as the cost of an evening's entertainment, not as a potential return on investment.

Time-Box Your Sessions

Set a session time limit before you start. When the time is up, stop — regardless of your balance. A winning session ended on your terms is far more satisfying than a drawn-out losing one.

Never Chase a Loss

Loss-chasing — placing larger bets to recover what you have already lost — is one of the most consistent risk factors in problem gambling. Accept losses as the cost of the entertainment, not as a debt to be recovered.

Take Regular Breaks

Step away from the screen at least once per hour. Use the time to eat, drink water, and reassess whether you want to continue. Many harmful sessions escalate simply because a player did not pause to reflect.

Gamble Sober and Calm

Avoid gambling when you are emotionally distressed, tired, or under the influence of substances. Impaired judgement leads to larger bets, longer sessions and decisions you would not make at your best.

Keep It in Perspective

Gambling is one form of entertainment among many. If you find it dominating your free time or your conversations, make a conscious effort to rebalance — spend time with family, follow cricket and PSL as a fan rather than a bettor, and keep gaming as one part of a full life.

Support Resources

If you or someone you know is struggling with gambling behaviour, speaking to a qualified professional is the most effective step. The following resource types are worth exploring.

International Responsible Gambling Helplines

Many international gambling licence jurisdictions require operators to list responsible gambling support organisations. Organisations such as GamCare, GambleAware (UK) and Gamblers Anonymous International operate helplines and online chat services that are accessible globally. Search "responsible gambling helpline" plus your country or region to find the most relevant current resource. JJPK lists these for informational purposes only and does not represent a specific affiliation with any organisation.

Mental Health & Counselling Services in Pakistan

Pakistan has a growing network of mental health professionals and counselling services in major cities including Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi and Peshawar. Gambling-related distress, anxiety and compulsive behaviour are recognised by qualified therapists. Consulting a psychologist or counsellor privately is a confidential and constructive step if gambling is causing significant personal distress.

Gamblers Anonymous

Gamblers Anonymous is a peer support fellowship with a self-recovery programme based on twelve steps. Meetings are available in-person and online globally. The GA programme has helped many individuals achieve long-term recovery from problem gambling. Refer to the official Gamblers Anonymous website for current meeting listings — JJPK does not maintain or verify meeting schedules.

JJPK Responsible Gambling Support

JJPK's own support team can assist with activating any responsible gambling tool, processing self-exclusion requests or directing you to appropriate external resources. Contact us via live chat on the platform or by emailing [email protected] (displayed as plain text only — not a clickable link). All responsible gambling-related communications are handled with full confidentiality.

Disclaimer: JJPK is not a counselling service and its support team is not a substitute for qualified mental health or addiction treatment professionals. The resources above are listed for general informational purposes. Always seek qualified professional guidance for serious gambling-related concerns.
